　　2016英语专四改革，听力部分dictation看似简单的从15个句群变成了10个，但是句子长度变长，所以考生们在考前要多练听力同时提高自己的注意力集中时长。

　　America’s Worst Surprise

　　December 7, 1941 was one of the worst days in Americanhistory. Nearly all Americans who are old enough to rememberthat day can still remember what they were doing at themoment they heard “the news”. The news was that Americahad been attacked!

　　Shortly before 2:00 P.M., a radio dispatch came intoWashington from Honolulu, Hawaii. “Air Raid, Pearl Harbor— Thisis no drill.” Japanese planes had begun an attack on the largestAmerican military base in the Pacific. They first destroyed planes on the ground. Then theybombed the ships in the harbor.

　　No one had expected the attack. So no one was prepared for it. And it did not take long forJapanese to do their damage. When the smoke cleared, the Navy counted its losses. Eighteenships had been sunk or badly damaged. Nearly 150 planes had been destroyed. More than 2,400Americans had been killed and more than 1,200 wounded.
