　　Good morning, everybody,

　　Can I begin by acknowledging the delegation from China and all of those in the leadership at the Council of International Students Australia? It is wonderful to accept this invitation to be with you all today.

　　International education is now very important to Australia. And what was on biggest year so far, in 2016, there were around 530, 000 students who came and studied here in Australia on a student’s visa, along with at least 50,000 more students studying in Australia on other types of visitor visas. China, an important education partner for Australia, with such high visiting last year, ensures that it is a big partner, across high education and English language sectors. A very large number of Chinese students, choose to undertake some or all their study in Australia, and I am very pleased that many Australian students are increasingly now choosing to undertake study experiences in China.

　　Under the 2017 round, on the New Colombo Mobility Plan, China was the most popular host location, with around 1,200 grants to support Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in China. This two exchanges of students, is priority of Australian government and is something that I will furthering courage when I visit China later this year.

　　As you all well know, International education develops skills and knowledge, builds enduring friendships, fosters country and professional links, and has a power to influence positive change. Country-to-country relationships have an extraordinary power to bring positive outcomes, even beyond what might originally be expected. 　　A New Lifestyle

　　Today colleges and universities have seen a new lifestyle among their students. Many students prefer to stay in their dormitory rooms during their leisure time. Indeed, the Internet has offered them many spare-time options. In addition, various on-campus services, from food delivery to laundry services, help develop the stay-in culture. Teachers and school leaders have different opinions on this trend. Some believe that outdoor and social activities are necessary for the healthy growth of young students while others think that it is totally fine for these students to choose such a lifestyle.
