　　The Role of Prices

　　In business, the fluctuation of prices directly affects the supply and

　　demand of goods. On the one hand, an increase in demand often leads to higher

　　prices. On the other, prices drop when there is an increase in supply.

　　Let's take an example to illustrate the effects of supply and demand. When

　　the price of gold rises, more gold tends to be supplied to the market because

　　more profit can be made. However, as the price of gold increases, the amount of

　　gold sold will decrease, for consumers are not willing to buy it when the price

　　is too high. Therefore, an increase in price usually results in a decrease in

　　demand when the supply is constant.

　　I think a stable and reasonable price is necessary because it makes the

　　market flourish. In order to avoid fluctuating prices, manufacturers should

　　constantly supply sufficient goods to fit the ever increasing demand.
