　　4 The Appalachian Mountains 阿巴拉契亚山脉: extend from the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Canada to the state of Alabama. They run from the northeast to the southwest, almost parallel to the east coast. The Great Mountains, Blue Ridge, and Great Smokies are all parts of the Appalachians.
