　　Why I Prefer Living in a Big City

　　Many people like to live in the country. They are attracted by the fresh air, blue sky and peaceful night there. But as far as I am concerned, I prefer living in the big city. The reasons for this are as follows.

　　First, people can enjoy a lot of conveniences living in a city. There are many shopping centres and there is an adequate supply of goods so that people could buy whatever they want at any time of a day. The traffic is well-developed and the city residents can go to some places that are far away from their home without spending too much time on the way. In a city, there are also many modern hospitals where patients can get immediate treatment and the experts can take care of almost all kinds of diseases. Second, unlike the country which is known for simple pleasures, the city provides more places for recreation and relaxation. People can visit exhibition or parks and go to the cinema or the concert. People living in a big city can enjoy a more colorful life than people living in the country. Third, the city is more developed than the country. Urban citizens are more well-informed and well-paid because they can enjoy higher level of education and more chances of employment.

　　Of course, there are also many problems in the city, such as air pollution, the high cost of living and traffic jam, etc. But the benefits of living in the big city outweigh the disadvantages of living there, and I like to live in the big city.
